Floyd Mayweather is Fighting…Logan Paul?

Writer's picture: Dylan RayDylan Ray

Yeah, you read that right. Some might call Floyd Mayweather fighting Logan Paul an interesting matchup, others might call it a suicide mission.

Floyd Mayweather, one of the most notorious boxers of all time has a perfect record in professional boxing with 50 wins and 0 losses. His last matchup was against Conor McGregor, an infamous UFC/MMA champion. Mayweather has won 15 world titles in five different weight classes.

Logan Paul, a YouTube sensation who came to fame via vine (RIP), has three fights under his two of which were both with British Youtuber, KSI. Unfortunately for Paul, he lost both of those fights, but don’t count him out. Logan Paul has been training in boxing for a few years and qualified for the 2013 Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Division I Wrestling Championships. He also somehow managed to knock out Nate Robinson.

What are the Odds?

Going into the fight, Logan Paul should have around fifty pounds on Mayweather, however, it’s expected that Mayweather’s impressive resume in boxing should outweigh that fact. At this time, the betting odds are Mayweather -5,000, Paul +1,500. If the odds or common sense are at all indicative of what this fight should look like, it’s going to be a rough night for Logan Paul.

So, Where Do You Know Logan Paul From?

Well, well, well. You may recognize the name from some of his famous hits, such as:

  • Roman Vacation

For the sake of content, and without regard for the law, Logan Paul flew a drone by the roman colosseum leading to his arrest by the Italian police.

  • Suicide Forest

Quickly forgetting about what it’s like to be in international trouble, Paul filmed dead bodies in the Aokigahara forest (also known as the suicide forest) and uploaded the video to YouTube.

  • Dead Rat Taser

Don’t worry, he can get in trouble domestically as well as internationally. In 2018, Paul uploaded a video in which he tased a dead rat which led to the Senior Vice President of PETA, Lisa Lange calling him out on Twitter.

This One Will Be Interesting

Whether you’re tuning in to watch your favorite (or least favorite) internet sensation, one of the world's greatest boxers come out of retirement, or you’re just interested in a good-old-fashioned ass-kicking, this one will be sure not to disappoint. The fight is currently scheduled for February, and it’s sure to draw a huge viewership.
