Writer Guidelines for Submitting Article Proposals
Guidelines for submitting an article.

1. Use the contact form located here.

2. Please fill the contact form out with your name, your correct email address, "For Consideration to be published" as the subject, and your article's title as well as a brief summary in the description.

3. Include an engaging title, but not a clickbait title.

4. If your article is about news, politics, or people it needs to be at least 51% research based with cited sources. While we're interested in people's opinions, we're more interested in publishing articles based in fact.

5. Your submission must be at least 700 words to be considered.

6. Please submit in an editable word or pages document. Please DO NOT link to your article or send us a google doc/sheet.

7. Please make it clear that your article is being submitted for consideration. (AKA Make it obvious that the email we get is not spam. Ironically, I must ask you NOT to write "This is not spam" in the email subject line as that is a popular spam email tactic.

8. If your story is about a person, please be able to provide proof that person is a willing participant in your article.

9. At this time we're unfortunately not able to compensate non-regular contributors. While we're hopeful that will change in the near future, please be aware that you will not be compensated in any way should your submission be published.

10. These guidelines apply to anyone submitting pieces for consideration to be published. Should you be a regular contributor, please email or contact an editor personally instead of submitting via the contact form.

Please understand that while we wish we could publish every article we're sent, that isn't possible. If you don't hear back from us after submitting an article proposal, we apologize. Unfortunately workload and submissions occasionally make it too difficult to respond to every submission we receive.

If your article is not accepted or published, please feel free to submit more in the future. While it isn't always possible to respond, the right story and submission gets our attention.
